The Mercedes-Benz passenger car range includes the C-class, E-class, A-class, B-class, S-class, CLK, CL, SLK, SL, M, Estate and GL-class. Mitsubishi Motors -is working hard at consolidating the Mitsubishi brand in South Africa, and seeks to remain a forerunner in terms of engineering. The range of vehicles includes pick-up trucks and luxury saloons with Mitsubishi intending to offer the best pick-up available on the South African market. Most popular in South Africa are the Triton and Pajero ranges, both of them Africa-tested, all-terrain vehicles. Excelling in the field of motorsport, Mitsubishi also wishes to continue its racing legacy - a passion that has evolved over many years.
Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles- The range begins with the well known Actros Trucks all of which are positioned in the Extra Heavy category. Chassis capacity varies from 26 ton to 33 ton with engine capacity up to 480 horsepower. Most of these vehicles are configured as 6x4 Truck tractors but 6x6 and 8x4 models are also available. Freight Carrier, Tipper and Mixer models are also well known as the workhorses of the industry.
In the Heavy Truck category Mercedes Benz offer the range of Axor and Artego Vehicles starting from 10 ton chassis capacity and extending to a full 26 ton capacity. Vehicles are configured to meet all needs in this segment from short wheelbase 4x4 right up to full 6x4 truck tractors and horsepower capacity from 170 right up to 400 hp. The Sprinter Range of panel vans and all derivatives such as small commuter buses (taxis) are the benchmark for vehicles in the medium freight category. These vehicles are unequaled for durability, fuel economy and safety and continue to be the market leaders. The range of Commercial vehicles is finally complemented by the Vito which is also available as Van or variously equipped as a 5 seater crewcab or 8 seater crewbus. A comprehensive range of busses with seat capacity up to 65 is also available. Freightliner Truck Tractors- This best selling brand of trucks in the USA is also available from M+Z and can be customized with either Cummins, Detroit or CAT engines ranging from 340hp right up to 530 hp. Superior fuel economy and low operating cost give owners of these vehicles a competitive edge. Fuso Trucks- the Mitsubishi Fuso range of trucks start from a 4 ton chassis capacity and go right up to 26 ton truck tractors. This range of vehicles is best sellers in Japan and a number of Asian countries. Perhaps best known in Namibia is the Fuso Canter which now also comes in a 4x4 configuration. The heavier vehicles although recently introduced in Namibia have an excellent reputation for reliability and low life cycle cost in those countries where they have operated for many years.
